The Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians’ (GTB) Natural Resources Department (NRD) invited members of the public Thursday and Friday to be part of its annual Sugar Bush event in Peshawbestown. Due to the mild winter, sap production is very limited, and trees are not being tapped, but community members can still stop by to learn about how GTB citizens processed maple sugar using traditional techniques.
