St. Mary BPA qualify for national competition

St. Mary High School students recently competed at the state Business Professionals of America Leadership Conference in Grand Rapids. Teams who ranked in the top three slots, as well as individuals who ranked in the top six spots, qualified for the national competition in Chicago on May 10. Student alternates were also selected based on qualifying results. St. Mary students placed as follows: Team Competition

Student alternates were also selected based on qualifying results. St. Mary students placed as follows: 

Team Competition

• Della Bunek, Sarah Bunek, Jacqueline Hearne & Catherine Mikowski - Website Design Team – 1st place

• Adrienne Ackley, Garrick Collins, James Licht & Daisy Serrano – Administrative Support Team – 4th place (Alternate)

Individual Competition 

• Anthony Grant – Banking & Finance – 1st place and fifth in fundamental accounting.

• Garrick Collins – Fundamental Word processing – 2nd place.

• Mikowski – Intermediate Word Processing – 7th place (alternate)

• Della Bunek – Fundamental Spreadsheet Applications – 8th place (Alternate)

• Leah Fleis – Integrated Office Applications – 8th place (Alternate)
