Grab your best green outfits for fun as people get into the spirit of the Irish this weekend and on St. Patrick’s Day, Sunday, March 17 on the Leelanau Peninsula.
Formerly Rove Estate, now Rove Winery at the Gallagher Estate, in Elmwood Township is hosting TC Celtic from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 15. Gallagher’s rich Irish heritage is offering happy hour specials all weekend with $2 off flights, and $2 off charcuterie. Celebrating their Celtic lineage, Rove Winery, is sharing a Fiona Runda or “Secret Wine” in Gaelic, which is a Rove signature white blend for $2 off a glass and $4 off a bottle all month long.
Glen Arbor will be green in the face at its annual St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl on Sunday.
The event will kick off at 1 p.m. at M22 Glen Arbor for a festive Shamrock Sparkler wine special before walking responsibly to Glen Arbor Wines for some green wine and good times at 2 p.m.
At 3 p.m., patrons will stop at Boonedocks for complimentary snacks before strolling by Cherry Republic house pub for more good times.
The Pub Crawl will end by stopping at Art’s Tavern with green beer.
North Bay Celtic will be performing at Northern Latitudes in Lake Leelanau on Friday from 4:45 to 6:45 p.m. during an Early Saint Patrick’s Day event.
“People are more into it ... (St. Patrick’s Day) is a lot of fun for us and we are excited to be playing,” Jan Ostrowski said.
Northern Latitudes will be offering an alcoholic beverage Irish Shillelagh and Grasshopper cocktails’ along with a $12.50 combo of a cocktail and homemade corned beef egg roll special from 12 to 7 p.m. throughout the entire weekend.
If you are looking for a classic Irish sing along, look no further than North Bay Celtic as they will be queueing up the likes of “Danny Boy” and “The Wild Rover” along with many others.
North Bay Celtic will also be playing at Ciccone’s from 2 to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Joe’s Friendly Tavern will be serving up delicious reuben sandwiches for all to enjoy on Sunday.
