Salary resolutions which include $5,800 in raises for township officials was adopted last week by the Centerville Township Board.
The board approved three separate resolutions for the positions of supervisor, clerk and treasurer.
As proposed, the supervisor’s position will pay $13,000, up $1,500 from this fiscal year. Compensation for the clerk’s position was recommended to go from $17,000 to $20,000 — a $3,000 raise which accounts for additional election duties assigned the post. And the treasurer’s salary for 2024-25 would go from $17,700 to $19,000 or 6.8%.
The proposed raises will be on the agenda of the annual meeting of township electors, scheduled for 10 a.m., March 23 at the township hall.
Participants can endorse the salary or could even suggest additional compensation. However, they can’t reduce them during the term of current office holders.
